"Our Family Christmas Party"

Saturday Dec.13th we gathered together for our Ellis Christmas party.
We all had a great time visiting with one another.
Of course there was lots food to eat but my favorite part is
watching our children with their children now.
Our family just continues to grow.
Margaret always made sure we came together as
a family during the holiday season. How she loved Christmas!
We always had a big family get together at their home and
Margaret would have her tree out so the grand children could
help her decorate it. We always enjoyed her homemade gifts
because so much love went into them.We have such wonderful
memories of those past Christmas's.
Since Margaret and Jack's passing we have tried to get together
but weren't always successful.
It has now been three years in a row that the family has kept
Margaret's tradition . It was extra nice to have
Joe and Susanne with us this year.

Family News Update!

Just wanting to let everyone know Marie is getting married on January 3rd . She will then be moving up to Tallahassee, FL where Michael attends college at FSU. We are all very happy for them both.
Our other big news is Brad and Kelly just found out they are having a little BOY! We are all so excited for them.
So January a wedding and February a new little grandson.
What a great start to a new year!

Happy Halloween

Believe it or not but this was a miracle to get this picture!

Jayde was a pretty little Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ!

We had a really fun Halloween with at haunted house and had our

usual 300 treat or treaters. Later we all went out back for a bon fire.

Had lots of friends and family over it was a fun Halloween night.

"Ellis Zoo"

We have two bunnies and two little birds. Cliff has

to get these little creatures for the grandkids to

play with ! We only wish that we had all our

grandkids here to enjoy them! We just got the

birds and Brad got them to sit up on his shoulder

for the longest time. Kelly said he was the bird whisperer!

Cliff's Little Paradise

Cliff has been working on little a back yard paradise for himself.

It was suppose to be a fish pond but when some of the grandkids

came and jumped in it he decided to leave it for a little

swimming pool. At least for the time being.

He works on it a little most every evening now.

Family Work Day

We spent a day helping Mom and Dad

paint a retaining wall . This is just the little wall

there was a much bigger wall not shown in this pic.

Cliff came up a few days to give Dad a helping hand. Dad worked really hard on his walkway to their cabin.

White Water River Rafting

We decided on our last day up in North Carolina

we would all go River Rafting on the Nantahala River.

This was a first time for everyone except Cliff and I.

Cliff brought along a disposable camera so during the calm

part of our ride our guide took our picture.Thanks Megan for taking this picture (Colton's funny).

Our guide sitting in the far back left (Gigi) was

really neat and we felt pretty safe with her on board.

We will have lots fun memories of this trip together.

My Birthday Cake

Brad and Kelly had this really neat cake made

for me for my birthday. Isn't it cool and it tasted great too!

It was chocolate and yellow cake.Thanks I loved my cake!

I had a great birthday( all except for turning 47!)

I was in North Carolina visiting my parents last week .

We went out to dinner the nightbefore my birthday and the

day of my birthday we went white water river rafting.

Monday night Cliff and the kids gave me a party/BBQ.

Gail had just printed off an email from Jordan (Elder Berge)

He gets to email once a week. He is studying hard

for when he leaves the MTC for New Zealand in September.

Yesterday we had fun helping Gail put together

a care package to send him.

This is at a place called Sliding Rock where u hike up

and slide down a water fall rock into the freezing river.

It was about 50 degrees!
